[NEWS] Wanna One's Impact? Everyone but EXO/BTS are effected

I.O.I was merely the beginning. Wanna One's impact might be twice, even three times more than I.O.I.

Wanna One have yet to debut, yet they are already causing large waves in the ocean. The advertising world has reacted first, they might as well go through the broadcasts and swallow up the music industry as a whole.

They have effected the idol fandoms as well. Excluding EXO and BTS, all idol groups are expected to be effected (by their presence). 

Of course Wanna One are limited to only a year and a half of promotions, but 'Produce 101 Season 2' is proof of their success. We have looked through the truth behind Wanna One's popularity, despite the fact that they have not debuted yet.

▶How much does Wanna One make?
20,000,000,000 KRW is possible too. If you combine advertisements, concerts, digital songs, then they could definitely hit this as a goal.

The biggest source of money is obviously advertisements. The impact has already been proven. The Innisfree colorful clay mask that was advertised during PD101S2 has been selling out like fire. Innisfree has signed a contract with Wanna One even before the final lineup was created.

Along with beauty advertisements, they have already signed a contract or are in the process of signing one with beer, sports brand, uniform, etc.

In just 3 months, they already signed 200,000,000 KRW worth of advertisements, but this is only the beginning. We expect them to surpass that by far."

We also expect them to make a lot with concerts. Compared to I.O.I, they are promoting for a year and half which is longer, and male idols have a bigger fandom in general. Even the PD101S2 concert sold out quickly. People already expect a country tour or long term tour to sell out.


▶How well will Wanna One do?
It is not a joke when we say Wanna One will effect everybody but EXO/BTS. Even groups that have gained lots of popularity these past 1~2 years will be effected. There are proof that the reason some fandoms shrunk was because of Wanna One.

We are not sure if the individual companies of Wanna One members should smile or cry. After Wanna One promotions, the members will have a strong fandom, but if we think about the groups of the companies, it is not good.

The fandom size is pretty solidified. Wanna One's fandom did not fall from the sky, you can say that fans from other fandoms have moved over.
